 2005

October 2005.

Three months after the first styling the Japanese maple look s like this in autumn colours. At this time it was gently repotted into a Wallsall pot, without any root pruning.

Summer 2005. The rough purchased material from Japan.

2005-06. Acquired as rough stock in Japan, 2005. Pruned and wired continuously through 2005 and 2006.

Also, the trunk has been carved. Originally, the tree was discarded because of the dead centre of the trunk. I see this as natural feature that fits the lowland landscape around where I live.

The initial styling is ended. This cut back of branches was necessary to rebuild the branch structure.
