1999

Found in my garden when cutting down and removing an old hedge, which was planted years ago right after the house was build. The unique trunk dragged my attention, and the bare trunk was placed in a shaded corner of the garden. Even without a single root left from the rough digging the tree started to sprout new branches, allthough sparsely, after two months only.

After one year I potted the tree in a large pot. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the importance of recording the history with my camera at that time.

Branches has been lost during a hard winter, so the structure is rebuild by new branches. A hard cutting back was nescessary. The deadwood has been improved with more detailed carving.

Still the tree needs development. Especially I am working on bringing in some foliage in front of the trunk, to add more depth to the image. (See the photo/drawing below).

Future plan for the tree. The canopy has to be developed further, adding a little more volume to the tree and depth by

letting foliage come in front of the trunk.
