"Lets see if we can
recover this tree..
This is the mail as sent to me:
Unfortunately we have had a large tree stolen over the
Christmas period.
We noticed its absence on Boxing Day.
It is a large tree in a very heavy pot, so we believe it was a
two person job to get it out. One other tree went at the same
time, but the other tree was of no consequence.
The tree is a San Jose Juniper which was originally acquired by
Roy Clark at a Dan Barton Juniper workshop in 1988. Since 2005
it has been looked after by Al & Anne Campbell at The
Observatory Bonsai Nursery in Cardiff.
On 23rd September it was taken to a Peter Adams workshop with
Cardiff Bonsai Club, and Peter suggested re-styling it to
reduce its overall bulk. He drew a picture, and the work is
currently in progress.
I enclose photographs of the tree before re-styling, at the
Peter Adams workshop, and of Peter's drawing.
Please could you circulate the information, in case anyone
comes across this tree.
Many thanks
Anne"

Bonsai stolen in Denmark 15th July
Johnny Andresen lost 30 bonsai on the night between Saturday and Sunday the 15th July.
The thirty bonsai where well chosen among the many bonsai at the shelves. It is believable that the theft was with the purpose of selling these bonsai abroad.

Taiwan Juniper. Over 1 meter high.
Stolen bonsai W A N T E D Stewart Griffin (England) has had his bonsai
collection including the prize winning Taiwan Juniper stolen Wednesday morning 9th August. These trees must have been stolen to order. They were bonsai people because they left his baby trees from when he started, but took Yamadori material in plastic tubs, so they were discerning.
Keep a lookout.... there is NO WAY that this tree can be shown again without it being recognised, it is over a metre tall!
Please circulate this photo and news on all of your own local forums and websites please.... lets get this tree... and all his others back.
Email any information to Tony Tickle tony@yamadori.co.uk or Morten Albek
